RULES OF PLAY

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and the following Local Rules and subject to amendments by the SDGA Rules Committee. Unless otherwise specified, the penalty for breach of Local Rules or Condition is two strokes in Stroke Play and loss of hole in Match Play.
Golf Balls: Only brands of golf balls in the latest USGA's approved list of conforming golf balls may be used. Penalty for use of a brand not on the list: Disqualification
One Ball Rule: in effect.
Starting Times: As provided on the day of play, or previously by telephone, by Tournament Director.
Spike Marks: May be tapped down without undue delay.
Score Cards: Signed and attested scorecards shall be deposited into the SDGA box immediately, at the completion of play, prior to changing and putting away clubs. Once card is entered into this box it is deemed officially submitted.
Slow Play: At the discretion of The Regional Tournament Director and based upon at least two warnings for slow play, a two stroke penalty may be assessed to each member of a foursome that finishes more than twenty minutes behind the previous foursome.
Conduct: SDGA reserves the right to refuse entries at any time during the tournament. Reason for refusal may include unbecoming behavior.
Posting Scores: For handicapping purposes all applicable amateur players shall post their own adjusted gross scores, utilizing current index on the tournament posting sheets, or the pro-shop computer.
Other Local Rules: SDGA Tournaments will recognize local rules as published on the back of the hosting club's scorecard.
Close of Competition: When the scores have been posted on the official scoreboard and approved by SDGA's Tournament Director, the results of the competition is deemed to have been officially announced.
