NORTHERN CALIFORNIA RETAINED THEIR TITLE! |
Very beautiful weather (not predicted) and the course was in fantastic shape! In the blind draw for the get acquainted round on Friday, North regular qualifier Chuck obeso-Bradley combined with Mark Smeltxer to shoot a net best ball of 59 , Neil Oettinger combined with the Founder Brian Yeowell to shoot and net 62. The North held a strong 6 point lead after the first day of team play! The South made a great comeback, to come within 2 of the North team total. The final score was 22 vs 24. All in all, three wonderful days for everyone, we had a number of wives attending some played golf and the children seemed to enjoy watching their daddies come in on the 18th.
